HI :
I got asked this last night on the phone by my modeling buddy . I assumed (I iknow ,I know ) that it meant one of many thngs ,such as Medium Range Anti-Personnel devices or Medium Range Attack Platform .I know I was probably dead wrong ,so please clear this one up . okay?
.Remember , I build ships . Oh , another thought in passing .How many remember the " MATCHBOX " PUMA 1.32 scale helicopter ? You know , the model of the AEROSPATIALE bird . I got one at the train show here in NEW BRAUNFELS , TEXAS yesterday .Is $ 20.00 a fair price for this bird ? The decals may be toast though .AHA , that’s right ,go to the aftermarket . THANK YOU in advance … Tanker - builder P.S. How’s about anyone telling me about the PUMA too?
Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected=MRAP (big-*ssed multi-tired armored vehicle)

M-RAP is an acronym for a class of vehicles designed to provide protection for the occupants from underground attacks like mines (but normally improvised explosive devices or IEDs as opposed to traditional land mines).
There are several M-RAP model kits, some with 4-wheels (like the Panda and Kinetic M-ATV*) and the 6-wheeled Bronco Models Buffalo MPCV (mine protected clearance vehicle).
*interesting to note that the M-ATV is an acronym within an acronym since the “M” stands for M-RAP. The complete name would be Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicle.
The US Army LOVES acronyms…
i’m the ‘modeling buudy’ that asked tankerbuilder this ? thank you Rob for the reply
-plankton, that is wrong! do you know what WDYGFY means?
Humper, there are a lot of people on here that know that acronym
free advice, typing that at a member is a stupid reason to get yourself banned on Monday morning
there is an edit button, so you can put Edit in the “EFF” spot, if you choose to
Humper Please !
I don’t want you to get the fatal " BANNED " added to your other faux-pas .Don’t do dat ! TANKER-BUILDER
i’m sorry for doing that. i was upset, and thought that would be the best way to put it, instead of writing it out fully. thanks for the advice, your right. sometimes i get in a place where i dont think before speaking.thank you sir
that’s for TarnShip, sorry sir. did not mean any disrespect
Humper, my quote is from an episode of Sponge Bob… it’s very tongue in cheek and appeals to my morbid sense of humor, nothing more than that… go to You Tube and look up Songe Bob’s fun song… relax a bit… nothing on here should get you that worked up
