Hey All…is Windex ok for cleaning up before painting my models without messing up the plastic? Would save me the time of leaving “the room” and going to the sink and I could keep it right there close to the workbench. I have used it after painting to jazz up the weathering but not for just cleaning.
before painting? windex shouldn’t harm plastic. could try rubbing alcohol too.
Neither will hurt plastic, but make sure the model is dry (air dry) before applying acrylics. Windex is ammonia based, and will react with the paint.
I typically use rubbing alcohol, as it evaporates quickly.
