Warped resin parts

I have a 1/35 resin .50 cal with a warped barrel. Now I’ve seen somewhere how to fix it but I can’t to seem to find the answer. So I’ve come to you all to help me out.

Soak it in warm water for a few minutes and try gently straightening it out.
Another method that I’ve used with success is a blow dryer.

Hope this helps.

Trevor, I just had to deal with this problem. I took a cup of hot tap water and put it in the microwave for about 60 seconds and heated it to 180 degrees F (I used a candy thermometer to check it). I turned on the kitchen sink cold water to a gentle flow and then submerged the warped part in the hot water for a minute. Small pieces do not need a lot of time while larger pieces will need more time. Then I took it out of the hot water, bent it into the desired shape with my fingers, held it in position and submerged it under the cold running water to set the new shape. Might be a good idea to put a strainer over the sink drain just in case you fumble the part - wouldn’t want it going down the drain. This worked very well and you can see before and after pictures on my website under the RS.14 build article.

Thanks guys,
That’s what I though I was suppost to do but I though I would ask first.
Thanks again for the help you guys are the best!
