This was a very fast build. Took less than 6 days(roughly), to complete. It was just something I decided to do in-between another truck build I am currently working on. I was just playing around. I call it, ‘The wall of quotes’. Just a collection of different anecdotes that people usually say or have said. The quotes are actually embedded in the concrete wall. At the seem time, I wanted to create an interesting look on the vignette itself, by showing a partial cut-out underground look on the surrounding area. I just thought it would make things a little interesting to look upon. That’s me. I always like to take things…One-Step-Further.
Hello!
Oh yeah, it’s very nice. Definitely something different - in the vein of Vespa Boy, if somebody here remebers him. I especially like how deep down this one goes - the pipes and stuff.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day
Paweł
Thank you Pawel. Glad you like it.
Definitly unique. I really like your attention to detail.
Very creative and well done!
Outside the box, i like it.
That is brilliant, really well done.
Thanks guys.
I, too, miss seeing vepsa-boy’s vignettes, as much for the story that went with them, as for the artistry of them.
This captures that, too.
Ok, so what did you use to make that deep down “dirt”?
I used dense blue form as the base. Then I just used white/water mixture to stick real dirt on. Then I weathered it.
Very cool! Love seeing something a little different like this and excellent job on making it look like the real deal.
Yeah, does remind me of Vespa Boy’s work, wonder what happened to him- hope he’s doing okay.
Thanks. But I have to ask now. Who is this vespa boy you all keep mentioning?
Fellas, please bear with me. I know this is out of the blue but this is the most recent, somewhat applicable place I’ve found to post to obtain info.
My Father recently passed, was a subscriber since I was a kid.
He has approx 300-600 unopened car models (all brands), some to many vintage.
I would like to recoup some money for my widowed Mother, but am at a loss for how to do that short of posting on Web 1 at a time.
Please feel free to contact me @ jamiecoppersmith@gmail.com if you have any info that might help.
I know he was a member of many modeling sights, but do not know his screen name. He was with straight line modelers also, but everything I found says it is shut down (yet I know he was still active)
Feel free to pass this post around. Any help from the community obtaining info would be appreciated!
Vespa Boy used to post these amazing dioramas of just ordinary stuff like sidewalks and sides of buildings.
I was able to find a few of his posts, I’m a little surprised more didn’t come up.
