How long should you wait to recoat tamiya acrylic and also be able to handle it .I been waiting 24 rs it takes so long to paint a 1/35 model because I brush paint and usualy have to do 2 coats .I start to lose interest in what I’m building how can you speed up dring process.
That is why I often have two projects under way at same time on my bench. I can work on the other model if the first one is stalled due to paint drying time.
If you spray in light coats, it shouldn’t take long to dry.
Here is a link to Don’s drying booth:

Maybe Don can replace the pictures?
I plan on making a drying booth at some point.
he brush paints Mr Sheep [:D]
How in the heck can you brush on Tamiya Acrylics on large areas? They airbrush very well and dry super fast but hand brush painting large areas is a whole different tale.
LIke me, he probably doesn’t have access to an airbrush/compressor.
Use a hair dryer on it. It will be handleable and re coatable in 1 min. I do i all the time just not so close or long so it melts. just a min. or so. Try it. You will always use it.
Here goes;

Thanks Don very much appreciated.
