Here is where i’m at so far! This is one of the up-armoured DAK versions! It’s goin’ together great, i’m forced to glue the track guards with super-glue to ensure a tight, secure fit. I don’t want this mother fallin’ apart on me. The detail that is involved in this kit, leaves me feelin’ overwhelmed sometimes, there is only one speed in which to build this kit, and that is SLOW! I’m beginnin’ to worry about the fit of the upper hull to the lower hull, i’ve done a test dry-fit, and it looks awkward, it looks like it needs some good coaxin’ hence the super-glue on the track guards! If anyone hear has built this, can they let me know, about this, like what I can expect to do?
I’ve encountered a wall of photo-etch, and there is a lot of it, too! I’ve placed an order for an ‘Etch-Mate’ tool, from Accurate Armour, so until I get this into my porch, things will be on hold…er sorry for the pun! [:)]
Don’t worry…in due time. I’m partial to the H myself, but have the Tamiya J sans the Thoma shields. I’ve heard the PE shields are a bugger to put together.
