Hi
just a quick question, does the hasegawa weapons set B fit the “time” of the F-101 VooDoo
I don’t know what is in the Hasegawa set but for a CF-101B you’ll want either Falcon or those nuclear (senior moment, can’t remember the name) air to air missiles.
Bruce
The conventional missiles for the Voodoo were Falcons (it coarried a couple of different Falcon variants over the years.
The Nuclear missile was the Genie. I don’t belive the Genie is available as an accesory outside of full voodoo kits. The 1/48 Monogram Voodoo has a pair of them and I believe the Revell 1/72 Voodoo from a few years ago also had them.
The Hasagawa Weapons Set C in 1/48 scale has the AIM-4’s carried by the F-101. It does not have the Genie as carried by them. Not sure of the weapons set in 1/72
so to sum it up the Hasewaga weapons set wont really match the voodoo?
is there any weapons set that suplies these weapons

Thanks for refreshing my memory. I should know that because we displayed a Genie at a few airshows. Nasty looking brute when you consider what it would do.
Bruce
PS:
Isn’t the Aim-4 the Falcon, or am I getting old again?
What scale are you looking for?. I have several 1/48 scale Genie missiles that I could send you. The AIM-4 Falcons are included in the Hasagawa weapons kits in 1/72 and 1/48 scale.
1/48 scail voodoo F-101 buy revell is the model, and about you sending those genies ill sleep on it
I think you’re right about the AIM-4 being the Falcon series, but I’m not 100% sure myself.
There is a Falcon in the indoor display area of the Alberta Aviation Museum at Edmonton’s City Centre Airport, so you can check that out if you’re ever visiting that museum.
Yeah, those things are hanging over Legion bars everywhere … I hung the pair onto the Winnipeg museum Voodoo and I think we agree that they are AIM-4. Amazing what you tend to forget after a few years, but it comes back with a memory jog or two.
Merry Christmas,
Bruce
When the Falcon missle was carried on the F-102, I believe it was called
GAR-11 Falcon.
