Visit to the Bovington Tank Museum

Armor Brethren, I made a pilgrimage to the Royal Armored Corps Tank Museum at Bovington Camp, England. Definitley a first class experience. In addition to the portrayal of the history of tank warfare and development, they were conducting live vehicle demonstrations that day. In action were; Ferret Scout Car, FV 432 APC, M548 Ammo Carrier, M4 Sherman and a Leopard I. What a treat!, and after the demo they offered rides in the M548 Ammo Carrier. My teenage son had a blast. Here’s a few pix, the rest can be found on Photobucket under Ellis263, Bovington Tank Musuem.

Ya gotta post a few more pics at least. You know we’re too lazy to go looking on photobucket.[:)]

That’s awesome. Please post more pics if you can.

I’ve marked the Patton Museum and Munster off my list of tank museums to see, I hope that one day I can make it to Bovington as well.

Erik

Sounds great, a trip to Bovington is one of those “bucket list” things for me. Thanks for sharing.
