I love using vinyl masks, but know what not every model I work on has them available, does anyone know of a good way to make them (minus just trying to cut them by eyeballing it)?
If you are referring to canopy masks, check out www.ezmasks.com. They have precut vinyl masks for over 200 kits. Eduard makes a bunch too.

yeah I was refering to canopy masks, and I know about ezmasks, and eduard, but I have some models that they dont make masks for, and wanted to know if there is any easy way to make them?
Well, you get some vinyl, stick it to the canopy, then get a sharp #11 blade…
Wait… no… that can’t be it… sounds too familiar…

guess I need to work on my steady hand, anyone know what a good thickness is?
…and what’s wrong with just using some Tamiya tape?
Cover and burnish.

Hold up to light source for easier visibility of the framework and trim. You can use a light table to do this too…something I am going to make one of these days.

That should do, I guess I am just going to have to work on my masking skills, the main problem I have is with 1:144 scale canopies
