Hey everyone,
I’m very interested in modeling a Vietnam-era PACV (Patrol Air Cushion Vehicle) hovercraft. I’ve only found models in 1/285th & 1/87th scales. Does anyone know of larger scale (pref. 1/35th) kits or a source for plans/drawings? I’ll also be posting this question in other forums.
Thanks in advance.

Well as far as I am concerned, this is one of the best resources for model hovercraft.

Thanks very much both for the quick reply and the link! Looks like a great site. In fact, besides want to build a static model, the thought had occured to me that it would be cool to build a working hovercraft. Ah, the possibilities…
Thanks again!

I know this was posted years ago, but I’m really hoping to find help from here. Does anyone have the plans used for scratchbuilding a PACV? I’m really hoping to make one in 1/72 scale myself and would like as much help as possible. I’m currently deployed overseas and alot of the websites I run into are blocked due to ridiculous reasons. If anyone else can help, I would really appreciate it.
You might try contacting John at Masterpiece Models; he released a 1/35th scale kit and might be willing to help.
Do you have his contact info? Masterpiece Models is one of those websites I can’t access right now.
