I think I got the photo upload problem fixed.
This is my Vietnam era M113 APC I’ve been working on since September. I’m not done yet, I’m looking for a good base to put it on with a little gravel/static grass etc. I’ve got a lot of hours in it but have to say that I don’t get to spend the time I’d like in my hobby room, thus the reason it’s taken so long to get this far.
This is an Italeri M113 given to me as a birthday gift. I added a lot of PE stuff and Verlinden’s M113 equipment and supplies set. The kit wasn’t very good, poor fit with the major parts, many ejector pin marks, and lacking in detail (another reason it took so long). I scratchbuilt the instrument panel and hinged the driver’s and TC’s hatches. The tracks are Fruilmodelisimo. I used Blacken-It to treat them before heavy dry-brushing with MM gunmetal and then dry-brushing steel for the worn areas. They turned out really nice.
I know this looks a lot like the M113 featured in FSM a little while ago and there’s a good reason for it, I used that article as my guide for building this one. I used a digital video camera to take the photos, so I apologize that they’re not high res.
I hope you can view the photos, I tested them on the test forum but could only see the red x symbol.
