Are they the same era as the early war T-35? I would do my own research, but I cant find anything else as far as info about the figures. And ould a T-35 and a german trench even be at all histoircally realistic? Thanks
Did the T-35 actually get to do any breaching? From what I’ve read, it either A. broke down outside the MBA, or B. Got nailed by planes, C. abandoned, D. Womped by german tanks, E. Killed by german infantry, or F, they have been reduced to fantasy by HeavyArty, and RonG’s insane research skills and knowledge…
True, from what ive read, the majority were either disabled due to mechanical malfunction or abandoned and destroyed by the soviets. But that was most, not all. There are even argued reports of some fighting in the battle of moscow. So theres a good chance my diorama plan would be imposible. But if anyone else has other information i would love it.
Not that I wouldn’t like to see this happen…it would make a pretty cool dio. I have seen some interesting early war kits around, such as a russian-german hand to hand fighting kit, and several other early war russian kits. Even if the verlinden kit isn’t possible, you can always go with the others.
Hmm, sorry Beav but for some reason, I cant read everything you type. Usually I use AOL as my browser, but it stopped working, so we switched to something called “mozilla Firefox” as a browser. For some reason ever since the switch, when some people type on the forums, I can only read the first line, and then it just cuts off, but when I read other peoples, it puts it all there in a little box, that i have to scroll through. It never used to be like this…anyone know whats going on, and what i should change?
EDIT: I found that if I click "quote on those peoples responses, it shows all the text for me to read. Not very convenient, but still I found a way. And yes, I know what you mena, especially the early war german vs soviet hand to hand kit. Good suggestion.
ya I think your right…this version looks ancient with all kinds of red firebreathing dragons that im assuming are supposed to be “Mozilla” my friends looks way more up to date ill try that. Thanks for the idea.
I use Mozilla, IE6 and IE7, and I have sporadic problems with this site on all three. Oh well…
Anyways, most Russian figures that are produced wear the mid to late war type uniforms. I have no idea about that really. All I know is that there weren’t too many operational T-35 tanks that would have survived long enough to cross any sort of trenches. I know that some were used agains Poland, or Finland…? lol, I forget my history exactly, but many were abandoned. In any case, you could always just go for a ‘what if’ type of scenario. Nothing wrong with that.
Yeah, ive never been the kind of person that goes for every lasy historical accuracy. I just no next to nothing about russian uniforms, and what years they were produced from/until. Ill do some research on soviets and see what I can find. Thanks guys.
