Verlinden P-51D update help

hey all,

i bought the verlinden p-51d update set a week ago for my tamiya p-51d mustang (engine and machine gun bay), and was shocked when i discovered there were no painting guides!!![:(][:(!][V] can anyone help me find the needed colors or a painting guide???

I’ve seen some excellant pict’s out there in electro land on the merlin engine. I had to do the same for the Allison Engine. Do a google on the Merlin. The Detail and Scale book on the P-51 also had some good color picts.

And, though I’m a broken record on this, you could do a lot worse than Squadron’s inexpensive P-51 In Color, because instead of photos (and there are plenty of those) they have drawings of things like the mounted engine and the cockpit from different angles. Color drawings, at least for me, are easier to work from, as long as they are accurate, and these are. Sometimes the book is on sale in Squadron cat. for two bucks. I was just looking at my beat up copy last night.
