I would tack it to a board, mix up some watery acrylics, (greens, browns, khaki, etc.) and drip them randomly across the net, allowing the paint to soak into the threads and then blotting-up the excess with a paper towel. Set aside to dry. Dry-brush with khaki when completely dry.
Hey there,
I was thinking about getting this stuff, how big/ much comes with it? Does it look pretty real? Thanks.
The stuff looks pretty good John. It cost around 6$$. Not sure how much isin it though, my buddy has some and has used it for quit a few things.
hey john it is a quality product and comes in a big square enough to do a few subjects with depending on how much you are using and for what. it actually looks really good but it is a very light shade of green and needs to be painted
Ok, thanks.
Try gauze bandages. Half the price for a whole lot more materail. Food coloring, starch it to make it stiff enough to drape and paint. Once it’s dyed you can spread it to shape, then spray starch it . Once the form is established, you can paint it any color. Makes great camo shelters.[2c]
thanks for the suggestion did now i have to hit up the first aid course at my job for spare gauze!
If you dont have any starch to steal from your wife I have watered down white glue and it did the job for me.

You can also try those plastic string bags that you buy oranges/veggies in (especially onions). Most supermarkets use ordinary plastic bags nowadays, but there are some markets and fruit & veg shops that still have them…
