vellejo acrylic paints

Hello all: Has anyone used vallejo acrylic paints and from experience is it any good. Also would you know who sells it and there address or phone number. Working on WW2 combat aircraft in 1/48 and 1/72. Would appreciate any help in this matter. Thanks Les

Hi Iyaayas - thank you so much for your input and the address for the paints. take care

Les

As far as acrylic paints go, they are the best. Easy to use easy to clean.

As all acrylics do however, they clog the airbrush much more than enamels will.

One word of caution, though: Make sure you buy the “Vallejo Air” line for airbrush use and the regular Vallejo line for brush painting. THey are formulated to optimize results for application method.

I’ve been using Citadel game acrylics for a while now and agree that they are much better for painting models than even Tamiya. The Tamiya paints are very thin and difficult to brush. The one drawback I’ve found with these gaming paints is that their color line stresses earthtones (for obvious reasons) and I do mostly auto models. Does Vallejo make a basic set of colors that could be used for automobile detailing?

Thanks,

JB
