vague mecha question

There is a set of Mech modes out there that are easy to put together and don’t always require glue. One of these has huge angelic wings that you can amongst other things, wrap around the mech.

The US got a variety of these, but I was shown a site that listed more complex models with a starting price of 90-120 dollars.
They are super poseable in that you can get one to do a high kick. Has anyone seen this site?

Your description sounds like Bandai’s line of Gundam kits. These kits are literally everywhere! Try these web sites:

www.bandai.com (Gundam manufacturer)
www.hlj.com (Hobby Link Japan)
www.ebay.com (World’s largest flea market)

You’ll find more Gundam kits than you could ever possibly want. The HLJ page lists over 750 different Gundam items! The expensive ones are from Bandai’s line of High Grade, Master Grade and Perfect Grade.

Yup, sounds like he is talking about the Gundam Kits.

One word of warning the older kits were NOT snap-together and are proper Plastic Models.

This is what you are talking about I believe.

There is a 1/60 scale version that goes for over a $100 also.

Exactly what I was looking for. However, I do remember that they were “Perfect Grade”, much like this one:

I’m not going to get one in the near future, but just knowing something of this detail exists is great.

That was my same impression when I first saw Gundam models. Impressive detail!
