I don’t konw the real name of the ship or the class, but i know what it’s nick name is, USS Target.
It’s the current flagship of the USA navey (i think), a crusier i’m guessing equiped with enough electrionics (primeraly communication i belive) to make me worry about having kids in the future. I belive there is only 1 or 2 in service and is the first ship that the enemy would want to sink in time of war.
So anyone know what it’s name actually is and class?

Such as the USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19) or her sister USS Mount Whitney (LCC-20). Both have heavy communications gear, but really a not a lot of radar. Also, they themselves are not heavily armed, relying on the escorts for AAW and ASW defense. They do have a CIWS for last-ditch defense.
Being a C3I asset, these would be targetted in the event of hostilities, but they are well protected by their support ships.
Trumpeter has some 1:700 scale kits of this class.
USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) is the 7th fleet flagship.
USS Coronado (AGF 11) is the 3rd fleet flagship.
USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20) Is the 6th fleet/ NATO strike force flagship
Mount Whitney and Blue Ridge have been upgraded to C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence)
