I just want to remind you all that USS Charles F Adams really needs our help now. She is the final stage of being donated to the ACVA (adams class vets assoc.) for use as a museum in Jacksonville. She really needs to donations to cover the cost of completing the application by MARCH 31st! They are almost a third of the way, but badly need donations so PLEASE contribute whatever you can.

Hi, this is an extremely important subject. The CF Adams is the LAST Adams class DDG left and contributing to her preservation is definately worth while. I served in Lawrence DDG-4 from 1983-1986 and there should be at least one of these cold-warriors in preservation. When there was a problem with the Adams vet assoc. actually trying to find a homeport I like a lot of others bombarded our elected reps to make this happen. Unless I’m mistaken she has found a home in Jacksonville, FL but I might be mistaked. Rick “the ancient mariner” Martin
