USS Arizona - pics from the 1920's

Been meaning to get these pics up for some time. They were all taken by my grandfather while he served on the Arizona in the early 1920’s.

I apologize that they are not the best quality. My scanner leaves something to be desired, but I think that there is enough clear detail that they may be of some use as a reference, or at the least, of interest. I plan to have them professionaly scanned at some point, but decided not to wait after following Tarasdad’s build.

The link will take you to the photobucket album they are in, and you can peruse from there. You should be able to eownload them without restriction.

Thanks for those. Some appear to show the foundation structure for the flying-off platform built on top of the #2 turret. The Arizona took part in early experiments to launch a biplane from a ship at sea.

I just looked at the pics (should have done so before posting) and they are way too small, so I will try to get to Kinko’s this PM and re- post them.

Those should be helpful. I’m building a 1/700 Arizona and have a 1/350 waiting in the que.
