USN Antiglare

Hy

I am currently looking for confirmation on the nature of the antiglare shield used on large USN flying boats in the 1950’s. What I recall, without any specific reference, is that the antiglare shield is a dull coated dark sea blue. Can anyone confirm or suggest a possible reference source that provides the specific color spec?

Thanks for your time.

Richard

The glare on Naval aircraft comes from within the aircraft not outside…those shiny wings of gold and bright pilots are always a glow. LOL
