Since it is apparently “old home” week here on FSM, I thought I’d add a post as well.

This is the DML M4A3 ETO kit modified to represent what the Marines used n Okinawa. research revealed some tanks had the black camo pattern, as well as a host of add on’s for additional protection.

Being a larger island the jarheads travelled farther thus for the first time had to transport equipment and such on the rear deck much like their Army cousins in the ETO.

Tamiya paint weathered with oils and enamels.

Love it G!! Look at all that extra “track” armor!! The black camo is different and something you don’t see everyday.

Nice work G-Man! Then again you know I can’t say much of anything bad about a Sherman. Still the camo and extra track armour gives her a cool different look.

AgentG-Nice Sherman -the cargo on the rear adds a lot to the build. And it’s good to see a Sherman for a change.

Yeah I know, another Marine M4 from G. Trouble is you’ve seen them all in the last 18 months since I left this site.

FYI, I just basecoated a Matilda today, gonna do the desert Caunter scheme. [;)]

Looking good Wayne! Got to love the way the Marines used spare tracks in the PTO…give things a meaner look for sure.

Outstanding Sherman…I LOVE the tracks, they look great. All the gear on top is great. Plus seeing the rare Camo Sherman is even better. Nice to see back in the saddle again.

Mike I have been building a series of Marine tanks from WW II to present day. I have been concentrating on M4’s from the Pacific so I have built quite a few Shermans lately.

I’m taking a break from all forums for a while, so I’ll be back one day.
