I was looking at internethobbies.com and came across an interesting kit. Revell/Monogram has a new Harrier kit, complete with a book on desert storm. I was wondering if this kit was a revamp of the old Monogram AV-8B model them offered some years ago. I’ve gotten away from revell or monogram, but the old monogram harrier was a dream to build. The only place that I have been able to find the old kit was on e-bay, but I’ve been burned a few times on e-bay kits and tend to leave them alone. Anyone know anything about this new harrier? I know that Hasagawa has a kit for an AV-8B II plus. Any one built this kit yet? Trumpeter was threatening to release a 1/32 Harrier, but i have not seen it yet. Thanks for any input on these kits. If the hasagawa kit is anything like their other models it will be a good one and well worth looking into.

I’m in the process of building the hasegawa harrier kit . It’s goes together very nicely and and the parts break down is much nicer than the RM kits. You do have to becareful when installing the turbo fan housing, it needs to be flush with the fuselage for the front office to attach to it.

I got the new RM AV-8B II kit with the book - building that one as well. It’s basically a re-issue of thier older B model with a new resin nose. The book is is a good reference
especially in the area of today’s ordenance.

I’ll have to track down the Hasegawa Harrier, I built the Revellogram Harrier a couple of years ago, went together pretty well, hung triple rocket pods off the inboard pylons, so it may not have been the most accurate, but it was a mean looking widowmaker.
