using photo etch for frist time

well folks i have bit the dust and got my frist photo etch set for my F-18 E/F. my question is is thier any thing special i need for photo etch? i went and made it a little simpler by getting the pre-painted set for the F-18. so are their any tips or tricks you experts that uses that you can pass along toa rookie on this stuff?[:D][:D]

Glad you went for the pre painted one there awesome , use super glue to attach the pe to plastic , also lots of patience , dont be like me and try to rush it

definatly lots of patience and a good pair of tweezers. nothing worse than loosing the littlest piece

PAtience is a very big factor.
other necessities:

  1. A big sandwich bag to cut your parts in
  2. small needle nose pliers for small bends
  3. small flat nose pliers for larger bends
  4. you can replace 2 &3 with 2 single edge razor blades
  5. small tweezers
  6. CA, Future (aka Krystal k;eer) , or white glue
  7. a candle or other heat source for annealing - don’t know if that would be required for the pre-painted sets
  8. a couple different sizes of wire for curved bends - if required, but always nice to have on hand
  9. sand paper and files to file off the attachment points

umm, me being the guy who likles to get all the little gizmos, I would recomend the hold and fold.
