I found a HUGE USCG photo gallery with lots of ships and helos. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find TONS more military images.

Just wandering, what is the color for USCG orange? I’d like to have a Coast Guard bird. The HH-65 might be a good start. Nice web site with tons of photos.Thanks.
Hey guys,
Anyone seen “Bad Boys II” yet? Some great footage of the new HH-68s the Coast Guard is using. They’re even correctly referred to as the “Sharks”. Anyone heard of a model kit of the A109 that they’re based on?
Hi Jon,
The only A109 I have seen in kit form is the 1:72 as made by Revell. Unfortunately, the kit is the A109K2 as it is being used by Swiss mountain rescue organisation Rega, and not the Power-version as used by the USCG.

The correct color for CG orange is International Orange. PollyS used to make a CG orange but I haven’t seen it around for a while.
Revell of Gemany got the molds for the old Matchbox 365N Dauphin in 1/72, much easier to modify to the HH65A/B/C than the Trumpeter kit.

My bad,
They are MH-68s not HH-68s as I originally posted. There’s a good article on the “Sharks” in World Airpower Review’s Winter 2002 issue. A bit steep at the $20 cover price, but the coverage is fantastic for a quarterly magazine.
Would certainly make an interesting model, especially with an M-82 sniper rifle in the back seat!
