Has anyone seen the new Revel 1/72 USS Gato sub? Any idea of when it will be available here in the states. How do you think it will compaire with their U-Boat?

The kit will not be available until the third quarter of 2006. No one has seen it yet. They did not have anything other than a 1:72 scale drawing of the sub at the recent hobby show in LA
It will be based on the USS Cobia, the subject of a submarine museum in Manitowoc, WI and a short drive from the Revell USA headquarters in Illinois.
Expect the MSRP to be about 100 USD.
Amazing - that should be about 52" in length. I’m finally getting around to finishing my fiberglass/scratch 1:92 Flasher. But I’ll jump all over the chance to build another. I’m very excited about this one - and for only $100 - WOW.
