US Navy F6F vs British Mk I and II Hellcats

What were the major differences (if any) between these aircraft. I know it was lend - lease related, but did the Brits have anything different?

British F6Fs usually were fitted with a different style seat harness- the Sutton harness. As opposed to those built for US usage. Some F6F-5/Hellcat IIs were also modified by Blackburn for Air to Ground and Photo Reconnaissance.

Thanks for the info!

Tim

For basic research, use Wikipedia, and then use their bibliography and references at the bottom for more indepth research material. Here is a picture of an actual Sutton harness from Spitfire Spares:

There is also photos of many pilot and aircraft pieces on this site which can be used for reference.

The most visible exetrior differences would be the radios and antennas… Is that what you’re looking for-exterior differences between USN and FAA 'Cats? Other than camouflage, I mean?
