Roy, Yep its out there. Whether its in production right now is another story… I find them in Hobby Lobby stores quite often. They can be had for about 20 bucks. Its a good old kit and fun to build. No one else makes the M3 series HTs Unfortunantly…

Actually, Tamiya just did a big reissue of this kit. If it’s not in your LHS yet, it should be in the very near future.

Kennethc is right on the mark. No one else has a plastic US halftrack kit available…but we can alway hope!

I saw it in Vancouver Canada three weeks ago. I think it is still in production. Actually, some older Tamiya kits are now manufactured in Phillipines, maybe Tamiya has a branch or sub contractor there. BTW, despite that the M-16 kit was made in 1976, it is still an excellent kit, details are very impressive even in today standards. Good luck in your searching.

[:D] thaks for the info guys i will try to get my lhs to order it and see what happens. again thanks for your help.[:D]

Hey gdarwin, one other place to look is ebay. Ebay is a bad habit to get into but I have found quite a few models that way including the M-16 you are looking for.

I was looking for the personnel carrier version of the M3, grabbed this one when I couldn’t find that one. Then I came across the one I was looking for, so I got it as well. I have this one between 2/5 and 40% done, it is a nice kit. Looking at getting one of AEF designs sets for the other to make it a tank destroyer. Oh, and get a couple more of the M3 while I’m at it. I love the half tracks, US or German!

As a matter of fact, Tamiya has a Factory here producing mostly re-issues of older kits although I think some of their late releases are also being produced here. I heard the master series of pre-assembled and pre-painted models are being done here, too.
