What are the issued weapons, these days? Back in the 80’s-90’s it was M1911 .45’s and Grease Guns. What has the interim been and what is issued now?

Hey
M60a3
It is 9mm Baretta’s and M4 Carbines now. At least it was when I got in 2005.
Just curious my do you ask?
See Ya
As stated, the M48A5 and M60A1 RISE/Passive and M60A3TTS came with two M3 submachine guns (aka Grease Guns) and the crew used the M1911A1 .45 cal.
When we got the M1A1, it came with one M16A2 (the rack at the commander’s station was designed for an M16A1 and didn’t quite fit right because of the foregrip change). The crews had .45s up until Desert Storm when the M9 9mm was rush fielded.
Currently, it is M9 9mm and M4 Carbine.
Thanks for the answers. I figured that was what it was now.
I asked because I wasn’t sure. When I was in, I always wondered why Tankers couldn’t have the Colt Commando. I always figured it was the perfect design for armored vehicle crewmen. But I loved the old M3’s. Just not the downrange accuracy.
