I’ve been building models for a long time, and my favorite subject has become 1/35 scale armor. I spent a total of 30 years in the Army, mostly in the USAR, and I especially enjoy building models of equipment that has been in units in which I have served. To make the kits match the real vehicle requires the exact bumper numbers for both the major unit on the left, and sub. unit/vehicle number on the right. And over the course of my career, these numbers have changed from white to black.
Where can I find either decals or dry transfer numbers/lettes in both black and white which are the appropriate size for 1/35th scale and will allow me to construct the exact combination for a specific unit, rather than what the kit maker included?
Welcome thahathaway3 to the forums! Archer transfers should be able to get you squared away. If not, check with your LHS to see if they carry stock transfers/stencils in the sizes you want.
Archer products are very nice, but Verlinden also has a fine line of dry transfers. Don’t sell your LHS short either, mine caters to RC flyers and trains, but I found plenty of useful dry transfers for armor in the train department.
