Updated Do-17 progress pics

Here the revell kit shows its poor cockpit

Most of the paint peeling I eliminated with a respray.

Hope you like 'em.

That cockpit looks lots better than the Hobby Craft kit (which I’ve built). Compared to the 262 and corsair you posted this shows greatly improved skills. Paint peeling issues can be resolved with a good cleaning before any work is started and using a good primer before the top coats go on. I use a lacquer boosted Model Master primer gray and never, ever have paint peeling issues. Anyway, the 17 is looking very good. What are you going to do for markings? Going with the Luft markings or going to try something a little offbeat like early Rumanian markings. I always liked the looks of the Michaels Cross on the 17 but that’s just my opinion.

I’m doing it in Luft’ markings for the battle of Britain. I believe that was the last time they were used on the Western front. I just picked up MM primer gray. Just wondering, will the primer help coverage issues with white and yellow paint as well?

Your camo looks well done, Tankmaster7
