Update pics of my Leopard:)

Well here she is so far…need alot of work still but it’s comming along pretty nicely for my first ever tank.

Lemme know what ya’ll think!!

Oh and the tank is not really assembled just kinda stuck together for the pic and for small part assembly…makes it easier for me:)

keep the pics coming HORUS.

Where can i find those really noce tracks that people use??? Or any other aftermarket parts for this model?

HI,

Eduard 's made a PE set ( réf: 35338 ).
Waiting for other pics next time.

Coming along nicely Horus. Looks like a nice clean build so far.

A company by the name of HK Creations makes a set of tracks for the Leopard, I’m not sure if there are any more out there or not though.

IMHO, I’d use the kit tracks for this build, they appear to be fairly decent and with the side skirts on the vehicle you don’t have to worry about any track sag (if there is any on a Leopard).

Keep the pics coming !!

I just LOVE side skirts!!![;)] they cover up so nicely![:D]

Horus,
in my view that kit it’s quite good on it own and seen the simplicity of the parts that can be enhanced you can easily do it by yourself saving money and having extra fun. I’ve just finished a L1A2 (Italian production) of which I’m posting a couple of pics in progress and a couple finished. Full sets are here if you’re interested in: http://pnavy.com/mbie/albun72

In progress

and finished

Sherman,
Thank you for the compliment! No track sag here tho the tracks fit nicely!
M1,
Yes side skirts do rock!!

Scoccia,
That is a nice L1A2!! Where did you find the rear engine grill and motor or did your model come with that as mine is just a plastic grill thats blocked up so theres nothing undernethe it.

Also this model came with a Conning tower, much like the one used on the Austrailian AS1 Leopard Here:

Horus, the parts you mentioned came with the kit. If you’ve only got the grid it’s not that complicated to scratchbuild the underneath engine cooling fan. If you’re interested in I can make some drawings for you…
Ciao

Is your kit an Italeri L1A4?
Ciao

Those towers are cool!

Yes the snorkel are quite effective. It can dive up to three meters in depth without any problem…
Ciao

scoccia, it a Tamiya West German A4
and if i remeber right they can ford upto 4 meters total, but i am sure at that depth there would be issues…lol

Excellent piece as always Fabio … good to see some of your work here.

Thanks for sharing.

Tks Robert, you’re always very kind…
Ciao

ok one more added most of the handles and all, still needs more paint work tho…

Tow ropae i am trying out, lemme know, I talked to renart about it, and he suggested the 24gug wire trick, but mine came out looking like hell so i tried this route…

In the 2nd pic you can see my wire attempt…lol

Ok new tow cable idea, and on the turret is a brace for something i will show later:)
