1/35 scale S&P 28 Ft. Flat bed trailer is built out of plastic stock form Evergreen Plastic. The wheels and tires along with a sevtion of chassis and the rear leaf springs came form the M-925 series Italeri kit. This trailer will be “pulled” by a M series five ton tractor of the Vietnam era. http://groups.msn.com/armorama/sptrailer.msnw?albumlist=2 These are in-progress photos and you can see the completion of this model on my web shots album page.http://community.webshots.com/user/gtadw [:p]I have made some corrections and added the jack legs and crank system. All that is left is to paint/weather the trailer and start on the five ton tractor and add the cargo to the trailer.[xx(]
looks good, are those individual nails that i see on the bed?!?!?! Cant tell if you used real wood, or plastic for the deck. Is anything going to go on it?
keep up the good work!
Outstanding Animal !!!
It is always such a pleasure to see what will come off of your workbench next.
As always, thanks for sharing.
edog: The decking is made of Evergreen plastic sheeting. I drilled out the bolt holes. I scribed the decking to give it a somewhat wood grain apperance and chased it with a wire wheel on my dremel tool. I plan to load it with crates and arty rounds form the Vietnam era. There are no cast resin parts or wood in this model. Other that the stated parts from the Italeri kit it is made of total plastic from Evergreen Plastic.
Robert: Thanks for the kudos again. I see that you are quite busy with this site. You really help the others with you knowledge. What are you working on lately?

Animal,
I wish I had your patience to make all the little details come together like that.
My pleasure Dave … and yes I do keep fairly busy here.
As you have already seen the DW is occupying a bit of my time right now. I just completed a resin Staghound from S-Models and have a couple other kits on the go that will be unveiled soon enough.
Good to have you contributing more often here with us too Dave.
Until the next time … keep building.
Great scratchbuilding, Dave! Very impressive.

Superb workmanship, Animal… Keep updating us. I love it, for one!
Thanks again for the positive words . It should be finished this week. At least the trailer part will be. The tractor and cargo is next.

BTW are you going to scratch make the cargo or buy it.
Thanks for the kudos again Artorius.
Modelkid. I will have a combination of scratch built pallet and shipping crates with some 155mm nd 203mm rounds that I had left over from the M-548 A1 kit.
