Finally, start working on the containers, which is a very pain. Because I try to make the containers look corrugated, so I use a scriber to make hundreds of lines on the containers !!! At this stage, only 5 blocks of containers been made, and only 1 block applied decals on it.

The ship and (especially) the superstructure are superb! On the other hand, the containers are a bit too bright and shiny. You might want to weather them a bit. That many brand new containers in one place just is not going to happen.
Thanks for your advice. I will leave the weathering process at the end after all containers are finished. [:D] and I am thinking of making a few (maybe 2-3) tank containers on it.

the container decals of OOCL & NYK logistics is the product of Gwylan models.
APL & Hyundai are self-print on ink jet decal paper.

There is a place on the web that shows the logos of all the container companies. Didn’t save the URL, but found it by googling shipping containers and logo. I made inkjet decals for my model by copying a bunch of the logos, resizing, and printing.

From my observation of the photo, the CE carries mainly the following containers:
NYK logistics (dark blue), Hyundai (reddish orange), OOCL (lgiht grey), APL (blue), Capital (green), Triton (reddish brown), CAI (bright red), MOL (grey), ZIM (reddish brown), and of course, hapag lloyd container.
One thing I notice, from the photo BEFORE 2006, there are P&O (blue) and P&O Nedlloyd (grey) containers carried on the CE. But from 2007 afterwards, I do not see them anymore.

I see GMM has a 700th scale merchant ship set. I think I may have trouble with the small scale as after many years of ship P/E I had a very frustrating time with my last go on the SS US.

The GMM merchant ship set, if it’s similar to their 1/600 set, won’t do you much good for a modern containership. It’s more tailored to 20th century liners.
