I’m dying to do a “Red Storm on the Reich” GB, late war final assault through Poland, Czechoslovakia, Austria and Germany. [8D]
I believe there is an upcoming Halftrack GB for the 251 series of German Halftracks and I’ve heard a rumor or two of an Italian Campaign GB, both of which I plan on participating in. [:-^]
I had my first ever GB idea the other day. A primitive GB where we take trip down memory lane and build a model with only the very bare basic tools and techniques. No PE or AM or resin unless kit supplied, stock decals/water application and curing only, hand or spray can paint jobs, basic weathering, no future, no clear coating, no extensive detailing, no masking. You get the idea. It should probably have a four-week or so time limit to keep with the theme of building the way we used to build our earliest models - rushing everything!
Townsy - as Scott mentioned above, I’ll be hosting a 251 series halftrack GB later this year…thinking either September or October 1st for a start date. My GOAL is to set the guidelines such that everyone builds a different variant of the 251 (/1 through /23, plus some other “sub-variants”). If it turns out that there are too many participants, then I’ll have to broaden the spectrum a bit, maybe making a distinction between A/B/C/D models as well to get more people in.
Pretty fired up for this one, VERY interested to see if we can produce the entire line of 251’s…just THINK of all the paint schemes! [:-,]
Of course, there’s already bucketloads of interest for Winter Warriors II - coming to a forum near you on the 1st of December. [;)]
