Unusual "might-have-been"

Does anyone know if there have ever been any drawings published of the Supermarine Type 317 four engined bomber, or any photos of the two part -completed fuselages which were destroyed in a raid on the Southampton factory? Had the project been completed the RAF would have had a heavy bomber 100mph faster than the Lancaster a year before the Lanc came into service. Would make an interesting model I reckon

I’ve always wondered about the German armored glider with the trin 30mm cannons in it where the pilot lays prone in an armored cockpit. It seems like a good idea, especially for an oil starved country being ravaged from the sky. THe twin 30mm’s would have had a terrific punch, however it would have one attack then down to the ground.
BIll

Bill-there’s a kit available of that one-way glider-saw in on Squadron-forget the manuf. tho. Damn this feeble brain.

The manufacturer is Huma models from Germany. It is really good apparently, with multimedia parts.

Ahem!!! [#offtopic] Supermarine Type 317 bomber???
