I know I asked this question some time ago, but I need to ask it again how do I go about unglueing a part can not get a new one it it an old mustang kit 1/32 made the mistake of not going though the kit first any way it the engine block wish to take it apart to paint it propely, I read some where that some modelers use break fluid is that true or nail polish remover I can’t seem to find the post that covers that question or problem-thank you
What kind of glue is it.
You may have to cut it apart depending on the method you used to cement it.
Razor saw time?

Yes knowing the glue would help. I have split open an engine block by scoring along the visible seam…then prying a hobby knife blade into the seam and gently working it along the seam.
Engine blocks are forgiving as far as repair…but be careful doing this…knife blades are not forgiving to fingers!
I think scoring along the seam lines with an Xacto knife might work. If you do it carefully. Otherwise …
The glue actually welds the plastic by melting it together. I don’t see you soaking your parts in any type of fluid and they just fall apart. You’re probably going to have to cut them apart.
