Ultimate FW-190D build questions????

Looking at stepping out from 1/144 and building a 1/48 or 1/32 Dora. I really like the JV44 scheme and am wondering what the best kit option is that that’s out there. Looks like the Eduard kits are really good and the only 1/32 one I found is the Hasagawa… The Eduards come with a nice little set of PE too. Waht makes the most sense? I’m fine with adding a little aftermarket upgrades. Is tamiya going to add a 1/32 to their top of the line kits?

TIA, Steve

Or maybe I should just cowboy up to 1/24 like the other wip?

In 1/32 Hasegawa is the best.

Only Trumpeter in 1/24th at 3x the price of Hasegawa.

Regarding scale: depends how much room you have and money you want to spend.

I built the Tamiya JV44 FW a few years back. It was a nice kit as Tamyia always is. It is in 1/48 though. I don’t know anything about the Hasegawa 1/32 kits, but I am really beginning to become disappointed with their 1/48 stuff.

I would recommend the Hasegawa 1/32 kit.Tamiya’s will be a while if ever. My 1/24 has a lot of work done to it, and is a lot to do to make it acceptable as a model. The kit builds into a toylike item otherwise. If you can find the high grade Hasegawa ,it has p/e ,white metal etc.And there are lots of decals for JV 44 which is the red/white underside ,I Believe. Good luck with the project.

Thanks all. Doing lots of research on this. I have the really nice 144 Platz 190 and Eduard 262 that I think I will make a small airfield diorama with. Both kits come with JV44 markings so that makes it easy. I even have the Griffon PE sets for both aircraft that should be pretty cool when done if my eyes can take it. Maybe if i get this little project done it will cool my jets on a larger scale. By the way krow, Awesome work!

Anybody use the dual kits? I have a lot of these in 1/144 but seem a little pricy in 1/48 unless you really plan on building both kits. I Found a good price on the profi set with etch for the Eduard kit. Also, Eduard makes a late and early 190 kit. I assume the late kit is the version for JV44 but the early kit looks like it comes with parts to build the late version as well. Thoughts?
