two more planes from jim

hey all,

I actually finished these months ago, but enjoyed them, so I figured I would share the pics [:D]

the first is Eduards 1/48 X-1, the decals were great for the naca version, but the register was off for glamorous glennis, so white it became [:D]

The second is a 1/48 B-17 G I built fo the wife ( I have to one for her every now and then, she puts up with my addiction [:p]). This one has alot of PE, resin , and scratch built stuff on it. I actually only used about 25% of the kit [:D]

O.K. make that three  . The last is Trumpeters Bf-109g in 1/24 scale. I did this in gunther rahlls’ markings. I scratchbuilt alot for the engine bay, and used a resin cockpit, but everything else is oob.

well enjoy. Any and all coments are welcome

happy new year

jim

Jim, three fantastic builds you have there!

Was the X-1 ok to build? I’ve been thinking of buying that kit myself and wondered if there were any fit problems with it. Judging from your picture, there does’nt seem to be-it looks flawless.

I’d love to see some more pics of the B-17 and the 109, any chance? They look great.

Regards,

Darren.

Excellent builds. Happy New Year & thanks for sharing.

Regards, Rick

Awesome builds. Happy new year.

very, very nice. I’d like to see more of the 190.
Happy New Year sand thanks for posting

Hey all,

the x-1 didnt have any pins on the fusalage halves, so that was a real pain to get aligned, and the glamorous glenn decals were off register, but other n that it was a nice kit to build.

I need to take more pics of the B-17 and 109 both, when I do I will post em.

thanks for the good words

jim
