Two More Kits Complete.

As promised, here are my two latest builds completed:

My 1/72 scale Dragon British Challenger II:

My 1/72 scale Revell/Germany M2A2 Bradley:

Comments are welcome.

They both look very good Duke. Nice work.

Regards, Rick

They look like good builds, but are way too clean. They need some weathering to make them look used and like in-service vehicles. Some gear on them would be great too.

Hi Duke,
This is a matter of personal preference, as I’m not a big fan of dry brushing, but I think you went a bit overboard with it. The builds themselves look very good.
I also agree with HeavyArty, some weathering is in order.

I really dig the camo schemes.Did the camera have a flash? The light source really seems to be enhancing the drybrushed areas.

Duke, they look pretty nice to me. I like the camo jobs on them. Thanks for sharing.

Tracks on both kits look really good. What are the totals now for your Brit armor and US armor forces?? Sorry about bothering you again with numbers but I think it’s cool that you have your models from all countries. If a war would break out in your model room, it would be a good one [:D]

Great builds Duke, the more I see of the 72 scale the more I am thinking of building one.Digger

Thank you to all you gentlemen who replied, I appreciate all your comments.

I was wondering how should I ‘dirty them up’? I don’t recal seeing any shots of these dirty before, but then I can only blame myself for that. What is the best way to make them look used? As for the drybrushing, Eastern Tiger was right. I had the flash on, s the drybrushing really stands out. I actually felt that I stopped too soon when I finished my drybrushing, since it almost appeared as if I hadn’t done any. I’ll try and be more careful with that though.

Heavyarty, I agree… I’d like to get some gear too. I’m trying to save up for some now. Meanwhile, I’ve been trying to practice with diluted glue and tissue for tarps and bedrolls and such. It’s tough doing those in 1/72 scale! So far, everything I’ve done has been too out of scale or poorly done to put on anything.

Thanks for pointing that out all those great suggestions gentlemen, I can see I still need more practice, particularly in the drybrushing arena.

I-beam, I need to count again, but I’ll have an answer in a day or so. Yeah, a War in my room would be a blast! [;)][:o)]

Thanks again gentlemen, I await your replies with bated breath!
