Two More Completed Kits. Finally!

Well, I finally finished two more of the 1/72 scale Armor kits I started awhile ago. I also added a bit more drybrushing to two others that I’d completed to make them look better. Here are the results:

Here are the two models that I improved a bit with some more drybrushing:

1/72 scale Revell/Germany Challenger I:

1/72 scale Revell/Germany Leopard 2A5:

I have two pics of my 1/72 scale ACE SA 13 Gopher Mobile SAM system to show how effective my repairs were.

The first pic shows it in traveling position:

The second pic here shows it in firing position:

That must be what an A-10 or helicopter pilot would see just before the thing fires! [}:)]

{I know there is no crewman inside; I’m trying to find an old T-34 tanker half figure that I can stick inside. One of my old Esci kits had head and shoulders of a tank commander to mount in the commander’s hatch on the turret; I just need to find one. When I do, I’ll put him inside and show off the model again.}

And finally, my 1/72 scale Revell/Germany German Spahpanzer Luchs:

Now, if I can find the decals to my Monty’s Caravan and Scout Car, and my MCV Warrior, and get a replacement barrel for my Bradley, I can get a couple more kits off my workbench and onto my shelves! [:(!][B)]

I hope you like my latest builds, I shall post more when I get done with more projects! [;)] [:D]

lookin good. is the Spahpanzer modern??

That Luchs is a modern West German/FRG unit. Still in service I think. The name “Luchs” is German for Lynx, also shared by a WWII vehicle.

Very nice work duke! The repairs/revisits look like they worked out very well.

awesome. just awesome.

Well worth the time, thanks for the peek.

I wish I could knock them out that fast. More Braille scale magic Duke. Thanks for sharing.

Great job careful you dont burn out your eyes doing those braille scale masterpieces.

Great work, Mister!

Thanks to everyone for the great comments! It really feels good to have my work appreciated. Too bad I don’t have a decent enough camera to take pics of my other winged and hulled projects currently in progress as well as my Armor kits, but someday it’ll happen.

cplchilly, I am definitely being careful there! I have a friend who’s a long-term member of my IPMS club who’s slowly going blind. He still comes to the meetings, but he can barely even see people, much less the models on display! I can see the pain in his eyes, since he’s been building almost as long as I have.[V]

Thanks Tigerman! Your work is incredible as it is, and always worth the wait to see! Now for my next magic trick…[:o)][:D]

Thanks Dave and Fightin Joe. I appreciate your comments very much.[^]

Thanks wbill! I am definitely pleased with the results. [^]

Thanks Gringe! wbill76 got it right. It is a modern German scout vehicle that is indeed currently serving the modern German Bundeswehr. They were deployed to both Kosovo and Bosnia. Generally, a two platoons of Luchs are combined with a platoon (reinforced) of the older Leopard 1A4’s to make a scout company.

Don’t know how ya do such nice work in such a small scale Duke? thanks for sharing, your work is truly appreciated. semper fi, mike
