Just thought I’d post some pics of what’s been helping to keep me occupied during this fiasco. Anyone else got any lock down builds to post?
This is Tamiya F4U-1A and according to a photo I found #95 was part of the Black Sheep Squadron but I found no other info on it.

I used Tamiya paints and black based this one. The wash and weathering were all done with pastels and colored pencils. All insignia and markings except the stencil decals are painted on. This was a fun build in Typical Tamiya fasion.
This ME 109 was one I decided for some unknown reason to use decals instead of painting insignia. Well, they sucked and I ended up letting this sit for a month or so but I cannot leave a model unfinished so I finished it up. It won’t remain with me long but it was my first German build since getting back into this. I enjoyed it so I will do another and skip the decals. This is Tamiya’s Bf109E-4/7 Tropical. I didn’t do much weathering to speak of on this one, but it’s done and now I can move on.

I’m sure plenty of folks have some lock down builds they can share as well.
Great job on both Tamiya kits. [Y]
I have several to post but Im having an issue with this site right now and hate using this phone with the tiny keyboard
Two smashing looking models[Y]
A nice lockdown double. Congrats for wrapping them up. Nice weathering on the Corsair - looks great. Nice camo on the 109.
Nice work!
It’s funny…I am considered “essential” at work, and yet, I am completing more build now, even though my weekends are the only free time I get (during the week I work until dinnertime, go home to cook dinner, and then help with the day’so schoolwork-my wife is essential staff too- and then off to bed to do it all again the next day!)
Same as you, finishing up 2 builds. A fw189 that I have been posting as wip, and a bell x1. Haven’t had so much bench for 35 years!
Thanks for all the nice comments. Haven’t been getting notifications so I just checked. Look forward to seeing some from others.
Very well done. Thank you for sharing.
Nice job! They look great. In able to work from home so actually working more, modeling less
I gotta learn how to paint insignia on. I noticed some of the best modelers do this.
Well done.
