Two Finished Projects.

Well, I was cleaning my hobby room the other week and found one F5 that had never been finished. Furthermore, I was constantly moving my 1/72 scale B-52 H that had come down from the ceiling and had a few broken parts. I looked at these two and finally decided that after more than a year of sitting around unfinished, it was time to complete them.

Well, the pics are terribly fuzzy and poor in quality, but until I get a better camera, I can only show these models off in this way.

My B-52H, which is still sitting down on a nearby flat surface since I don’t have any ceiling space yet to hang it back up. It did not upload so I only have this pic of my 1/72 scale F-5B to post right now:

He’s right now sitting in a display case at USC in the front of the AF ROTC Building along with my 1/72 scale B-2 Stealth Bomber and my 1/72 scale F-117 Stealth Fighter.

Again I apologize for the pics being so poor but I hope you enjoyed them.

Nice Tiger, Duke…! It’s a neat little aircraft and somehow, I’ve never managed to build one in over 30 years of modeling… Is that the Italeri lit?

Northrop made some sleek planes, and yours looks very sharp.
Good job !

good looking build. the pic isnt bad either. nice job.

joe

Nice looking F-5. Very good work. Thanks for sharing.

Regards, Rick

Amazing! This is my third or fourth Tiger! I’d say it was long about time dj! [;)][:D]

It is the Italeri kit, and I’d built it a little over two years ago. Then I painted it silver, and tried to hand paint the yellow stripes without masking. That didn’t work, and since I had no tape, I put it on the shelf until I could get some, and promptly forgot about it! [:I]

Fast forward to two years later, I see this model sitting on my shelf, and realize that I had not finished it! [:0] So, I masked off the nasty yellow stripes, canopy, wheel wells, and any other place I didn’t want silver, and then proceeded to spray it with Tamiya Flat Aluminum. Once the paint dried, the tape came off, and it was simply a matter of applying a clearcoat, decals, and another semigloss clearcoat to it. It feels good to finally finish something that I’d forgotten about! [B)]

The nice thing is that I have some extra Canadian decals from this kit that I can use to replace the peeling ones on my Canadian F-5.

Pixilater, rjkplasticmod: Thanks Pix and Rick, I’m glad you like it. I have a way to go before I get as good as you two, but I am working on it. I’ve already started my 1/72 scale Me 262A thanks to your excellent photos Pix!

fightnjoe: Glad you like it Joe. Thanks for the comment on the pic too. I wanted it to come out clearer and more sharp, but that’s the best my software can do with the pics this lousy camera takes! I do appreciate your postive comments Joe.

I’m still trying to get a recognizeable pic of the B-52H. Once I do, I’ll get that posted.

Looks good to me. The NMF looks great. Good work.

She’s a lovely looking lady, thanks for the pic.

Thank you Dave and Ping. Your words mean alot to me.
