hey tiking, i like it alot. looks great and its a nice way to clean out the excess gear/junk lying around. the only thing i think is missing on the first one is a figure. (i think your implying someone being around but im not sure). i only say that it needs a figure because you have weapons laying around and u.s. soldiers DONT leave their weapons ANYWHERE…unless you want to spent some time @ ft. levenworth prison!! just my [2c]
Outstanding, except for the weapon, as CJ pointed out… Even if you’re just doing a Kybo in Ft Hood with a GI inside and outta sight, his battle-rattle can be on the ground outside, but weapon and pro-mask go inside with him… (ok, make pro-mask/sh*tter joke now…)

Thanks everyone. Yes, I do realize the gun lying around issue. Just that I have not come around to making the figures yet as I am really bad at that but I will sooner or later. 
My dad (during his deploment to afghanistan) was talking to a man about something and the man rested his m4 on a humvees hood, came back and the humvee was gone [(-D](gone on convoy duty or something) but the guy found his m4.
Tiking- even if you might have posted them before I’m glad you posted again. I like the first one very much, I notice two weapons laying around if I’m not mistaken, I think once you get your figure painting to where you like it, two soldiers talking with each other would really finish it off great. There is something about the standalone battle box or whatever these things are called that I like, very empty and isolated feeling.
I was under the impression with the vise on the side of the box that this was some kind of in country “gunsmith” armory fixer-uper place. Don’t know if those are real or not, but it was a cool look- I really like the torn poster.
Is this the Revelle kit or a scratch built version? Always wondered if anyone put one together as I’ve always seen it just hanging out on the shelf at the LHS.
Also the groundwork on both pieces is phenomenal. I especially like it on the radar/radio/command box thing. (Sorry- I clearly have no idea what I’m talking about).
Thank you very much for the comments. I do appreciate it. The container is a Italeri kit. The small details are also from Italeri kits which I just put together in the scene. As for the ground work, I used the real thing with some spray paint and a good eye

Mobile platforms for all kinds of things- comm, workshop, living quarters, storage
Can hang em from a helo, stick them in a big plane, truck them around on a highway, ship them over seas, stack them on site to save space
It’s a pretty cool (but not that new) concept in the military field I think. I’ll try and find a link.
Not sure if this is the same box, but similar concept.
Are you referring the to the Container itself or the scenerio?

I think more the scenario, the idea of shipping the boxes around and using them for similar purposes. Scrolling through that whole page makes it look more like a whole opinion piece on why the “battle box” is the best thing since sliced bread and it’s a hugely one sided op.ed. piece. But I think your boxes are part of a similar design/intention ??
Well, the first represented storage/workshop facilities on the spot or where ever deemed necessary. I remember a soldier telling me they had something quite similar to this out in the field. As for the second scene, it is something I concogted. If it was real or not, I did not know. I was just being imaginative.
