Twin boom pusher B-25

From the twisted mind that brought you the KC-135/B-17 hybrid, I present the Twin boom pusher B-25. I have no idea where the idea came from. I just do what the voices tell me… LOL!!!

Eddie

Very strange, but nice. You may want to lengthen the nose to get the CG correct.

Ok folks, now you know what the children of a P-38 and O2-A look like!

Thank you. That’s an interesting observation about the CG. I went back and measure the model now as compared to the original and it’s the same length. I’ll be adding a very large cannon in the nose to balance out the “weight” issue. As it sits on my desk, this thing is very tail heavy and I’m thinking of moving the engine forward to help with that issue, but your idea of adding more nose is still on the table.

Eddie

Eddie, you had to rip up 2 really nice kits…

gonna put a 105 in the nose of this beastie?

I have a 1/48 one from an old ch-53, if you want it

Eddie’s pushing the envelope again. Can’t wait to see what this becomes.

You need to get those “voices” under control. They are warping your mind. Or is that past tense?

Looks like the -25 is pinching a loaf with the -51.

I can appreciate you concern, but believe me, these two were shoddy builds at best. My skills have progressed enough that I want to rebuild them in a manner that will do them justice, especially the B-25. My Grandfather trained on them in WWII and since he died last Christmas, I want to one to honor him.

Wibhi2,

I would love to have that cannon for the nose of this monster. I’ll PM you with my addy.

Yardbird,

I wish I could warp plastic as easily as my mind.

Eddie

Eddie NEVER wastes a model! I bet he even recycles the sprue’s, God knows I have found great uses for them. hehehehehe.

Way to go Eddie! I’ll be watching this one for sure!

Air Master

Eddie… you do know that when you take a Rorschach test, you’re not supposed to try to build it… just tell the doc what pops into your head… don’t you?

Well, let’s see… The aircraft is the same length, and there’s about the same “amount” of aircraft left, but one more engine providing more power…

I’d say you have a prime opportunity to turn this into one of the baddest, meanest tankbusters anyone’s every seen!

Take a page from the Germans, maybe? 104mm recoilless cannon, baby! (THAT one failed quite spectacularly, but who knows? Maybe the Americans rehashed the idea!)

I"ll be watching this one…

That or a mutated P-61 that got too close to the atomic bomb test sites. HAHAHAHA.

LoL Eddie!! I think you’d be draggin’ yer tails too if ya had an engine in the backdoor [laugh] dem voices do come up with some goodies tho!! This is sweet!![:P] Lengthening the nose would give you a bit more room to add some weights as well Ed. Just my 2 cents

Eddie,
You are, without a doubt, a card-carrying, certifiable nutbag…and I mean that in the nicest possible sense…LOL…
I have a suggestion…maybe move the rear engine a little towards the front - it does kinda “hang out there”…and don’t forget to reverse the props on the Merlin - they’re currently in position to act as a bit of a thrust reverser.
Otherwise, that’s pretty cool. I’d like to see this one finished.

Eddie,

I hereby designate this new beast the PB-251 Thunder Boomer.

All those in favor please reply and type: Kitbash King Rules!

Air Master

Eddie,

Pretty neat idea although just to nit-pick for a second I think I’d turn the prop around on the P-51 nose.

I think she’d look cool with a set of P-61 props on the recip’s to replace the 3 bladed props she has now too, not a nit-pick just an idea. I’m waiting to see this one it looks to be a killer

I vote for A-76 Thunderbird, only if a large caliber cannon is mounted.

Eddie,you’re certifiable,and a bloody genius.Hail to the Kitbash King!

Turning the prop around doesn’t change the direction of thrust. The only way to do that is either reverse the direction of rotation of the engine or change the blade pitch from positive to negative.
