I am building a 1/35 ICM Panzer II ausf. D, and I was having issues. I built my track runs in 2 sections, top and bottom. After they had set, there was some warping of the top runs, where I guess I didn’t let them set long enough, and they didn’t sit like I had assembled them. I was getting frustrated, because the super glue wasn’t setting very fast, and the tracks were not sticking to the road wheels. Then it hit me! Since this kit has the fenders molded as part of the top of the hull, they were pretty sturdy. I just inserted a set of my precision tweezers on top of the tracks, and under the fender. I also stuck the back ends of two other sets of tweezers on top of the idler wheel and the drive wheel to keep the tracks from lifting off of those. And the clutter on my build table gave me things to set the tweezers on to keep the tweezers level. After being left over night (I was about to play Godzilla on this build if stuff didn’t start working), they were perfect!
Seems like a pretty good idea. I’ll have to give it a try the next time tracks aren’t cooperating. Thanks for sharing!
