Hey guys, was doing some research on TWA but im having a touch of trouble with something.
On the belly and wings the instructions on my super connie say silver. However, what kinda silver? I cant find any decent clear photos of the real aircraft. From the few i did find it almost looks pale grey more than silver. So, Would it be more accurate to foil it. or spray it with flat aluminium then gloss coat it?

I think the belly and wings were probably bare aluminum, that would be my best guess anyway.

Very limited. A photo of a 747 and a tristar, both in the new new livery, white over high gloss light grey. nothing on the connie, finding colour photos seems to be almost imposible. Maybe im just searching the wrong thing.
I would go with BNM for the finish. All the older pictures of the Connie I have seen appear to be bare aluminum while the reconditioned ones in private collections or museums appear to have been painted a metallic gray.
