TV2

Is there a 1/72 scale model of the TV2 which is a two seat version of the F80[%-)]

Hasegawa produced one as the T-33. I don’t think there’s much if any difference between it and the TV-2, particularly in 1/72.

If I recall correctly, the TV-2 was developed from the T-33 but had the rear cockpit significantly higher than the front one creating a very pronounced hump backed appearance.

I suspect the only way you’ll get it in 1/72 is to buy a T-33 and try to track down a conversion kit or if someone produces one in resin or vacuum form. I definitely don’t think its a bird that a mainstream manufacturer could produce and turn a profit on.

The only TV-2 kit I’ve ever heard of is a 1/48 multi media kit by Collect Aire.

You’re describing the T2V. Griffin made a 1/72 scale vacuform of that aircraft. I have one, but haven’t built it in hopes that someone would produce a better kit.

The TV-1 (originally TO-1) was the Navy designation for the F-80C; the TV-2 was the Navy designation for the T-33.
