I can’t be the only one who’s struggled with this. I’m trying to get the turret together for this kit, but something is not lining up. There are two small pins, one on each side that do not seem to line up height-wise, when the assembly is facing you or has it’s back to you. This means when you attach the two side pivot pieces, the locking tabs at the bottom that lock into the fuselage aren’t going to fit correctly. Has anyone encountered this? Guesses as to what I’m doing wrong?

It’s a well-known issue, to the extent that Accurate Miniatures–when they were still around–had a special page on their website explaining the solution.

You’re right it was difficult to put this turret togehter. I almost ruined mine.

Just to be clear, I’m not talking about the installation of the completed turret into the fuselage. I’m talking about the actual assembly of the parts that make up the turret internals. Maybe later I’ll have time to post some pics.
