Hi Everyone:
I scratchbuild my models, have been doing it for 51 years. Here is the Tupolev R-6 , 1934 “Air Cuiser”.
It is a built up model with a 16" wingspan. It is a composite model of wood, plastic card and the floats
are made from paper card and wood. Should be finished in about a month.
Boy that sure looks like the Icm TB-3 Russian bomber I am working on(except mine has four engines).Looks like an interesting project, please post up-date pictures as work progresses.
What a neat skill to have. I am green with envy. As it takes all of my might to asseble pre-formed plastic, I truly appreciate the hard work and artistic ability to possess. Fantastic look Tupolev!
Hi Guys:
I finished the basic structure and some detail. Now I will really get into the final details:
Cockpit, Machineguns, Torpedo, propellers, exhausts, etc…I guess three to four more weeks
painting included.
With its 16" wingspan over some water diorama it should be quite nice. Next a C-46 and a DH-4.
