Tunes at the Workbench??

Hello everyone,

Well, that time of year has once again approached us quickly and everyone is scrambling to shop, mail packages and travel to love ones. I would like to wish all of you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Now to my odd question…Do you have any favorite tunes you listen to when your at your workbench. I listen to all kind’s of music…classical, classic rock, country(old stuff), bluegrass and basic music from the 50’s - 90’s. I currently have The Clash, The Who, Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac in my stereo at my workbench. I also like to have a college football or basketball game on. I am just wondering if music help’s during your builds or does it hender your build?

Again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!!!

No,if I put something on,it’s usually sports talk or a ballgame of some sort.

classical, new age, movie scores. sometimes selected depending on what i am building. for examble if i am building russian then rimsky-korsokov or ENEMY AT THE GATES score. sometimes talk back radio but i am not really listening. football on Sunday but again more background noise. sometimes i want nothing except my organic white noise (aka tinnitus)

You name it I probably have it on the ipod. Except rap and hip hop. Chubby checker to megadeth

I’m a metal head from the 80’s but I.like all kinds

Music definitely helps, but I am all over the board. Sometimes in theme with my build subject. I have a stereo set up at my work bench with an Ipod adapter cord, or one of my CDs, or from my You Tube playlist using my tablet.

Stik…thanks for highlighting YouTube music…I forgot YouTube had music because I am always focusing on “How to Vids”. I like how everyone has a wide spectrum of music.

It depends. I usually use music from the 60s and 70s, some classics, as well as various sound tracks. Som of these I peice together onto a C.D. from other discs, such as Flight of the FIre Mares form “KRULL”, Seaquest, Star Wars, Differwent Star Trek shows or movies, Monuments Men, or an instrumental from Guardians of the Galaxy. I might even go back to things from WII that I made for my Father.

Right now I’m in the VIetnam Grtoup Build over on ARC and I have a collection of songs done by G.I.s that were collected by DR. Lydia Fish in Buffalo.

I was sent to music school from the age of 6 to learn to play classical piano so that is my first choice. I also listen to big bands music of the 40’s, opera, and also music from the 50’s, 60’s, show tunes and some jazz.

I have a radio tuned to my public radio’s classical station. Only time i do not hear classical is during Prairie Home Companion.

I have over 100 Gigs of music mostly classic rock and blues.

I’m a child of the 80’s so it’s cheesy synthesizers for me! All 80’s, all the time.

For some reason,

I now have an image in my mind of Mopar Madness in his mancave walking like an Egyptian…[:O]

I use Wagner ,scares the he’ll out of the slopes.my boys love it!!

Music from the 1930’s and 40’s. I have my computer in close vicinity to my workbench. I put on an internet station that plays the stuff constantly. Of course, I was brought up on it as my parents were Depression kids.

Dave

Hey Goose does that mean tomorrow is manic Monday

During Christmas I like to listen to Mr Hanky’s Christmas Special. And Father Christmas by the Kinks. Seriously.

Traditional Jazz, otherwise known as “Dixieland”. It chases the mice out of the house!

[:^)]

Just kidding, no, we don’t have mice in the house. (But those deadly snakes gotta go!)

…Depends if I am suffering from double vision that day…[whstl]

Ha! More like when I find a fingerprint in my finish I shout, shout, let it all out!
